Joaquim Chaves Saúde supported the 9th edition of Capítulo Perfeito, an event held at Carcavelos Beach, as an official sponsor, providing health services during the competition. The Group was present at this event, maintaining its commitment to surfing and encouraging sports practice as a preventative measure for various pathologies, while also providing all the athletes with health services especially focused on surfers. Joaquim Chaves Saúde was therefore present in the athletes' area, with a medical team made up of a nurse and a physiotherapist, as well as offering a screening for 'surfer's ear', a very common pathology in this sport. At the same time, the beach point provided a privileged observation point for the race and a shower area for the athletes. In order to distinguish the quality and commitment of our athletes, Joaquim Chaves Saúde reserved a very special award for the best Portuguese athlete in the competition - the Best Portuguese award.

In addition, at the Clínica Cirúrgica de Carcavelos, located 100 metres from the event venue, Joaquim Chaves Saúde offers a specialized service in several areas, including ENT (with a consultation for the surfer's ear), Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine - more closely linked to the prevention of typical injuries that affect surfers. In this way, the clinic provides all the necessary support for water sports athletes, such as surfers, not only because of the expertise of the medical team, but also because of the state-of-the-art equipment the clinic has, which has enabled it to act in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery of athletes.
