Acts available:
• Administration of prescription medicines (injectables);
• Dressings - treatment of wounds such as pressure ulcers, bedsores, etc;
• Fitting, replacing and removing handcuffs;
• Urine collection;
• Placing, replacing and removing nasogastric tubes;
• IV placement, monitoring and removal;
• Extraction of stitches;
• Aspiration of secretions;
• Oxygen administration;
• Aerosols (nebulisation with saline solution or prescription drugs);
• Application of cleansing enema;
• Assessment of vital signs;
• Assessment of glycaemia (by finger prick);
• Amongst others.
To request the Home Nursing Service, simply send an e-mail to enfermagem.domicilio@jcs.pt with the following details:

• Date of birth;
• Telephone contact;
• E-mail address;
• Description of the desired medical procedure and/or treatment guide (if available).
Once the e-mail has been received, the team will contact you within a maximum of 24 working hours to schedule the day and time of the service.
